Kenny puts jobs at heart of campaign

ENDA KENNY put jobs at the heart of his election campaign as he warned the EU he would fight any moves to raise corporation tax.

The Fine Gael leader said European leaders like France’s Nicolas Sarkozy needed to remember how much Ireland had delivered for the benefit of the EU, such as passing the Lisbon Treaty.

After a meeting with Intel bosses, Mr Kenny said he had “reassured” them he would protect the 12.5% tax rate if he became Taoiseach.
