‘Employment must be the key issue’

JOB creation must be the central issue of the election campaign, according to Sinn Féin vice-president Mary Lou McDonald.

Launching her party’s 10 point plan for job creation outside Leinster House yesterday, Ms McDonald said the policies had the potential to bring 160,000 into the workforce.

“The country is in crisis. Unemployment has reached record highs with 100,000 people set to emigrate over the next two years.
