Second fireball sighting in sky

Astronomy Ireland says a piece of an asteroid or comet entered the Earth’s atmosphere over Ireland and blew apart between 6am and 7am yesterday.

The organisation says it has already received reports of the event and is appealing to the public to report any sightings on www.astronomy.ie/fireball.
