Wanted: Leading lady to ‘dazzle’ in music video

ONE lucky lady will get a taste of a life of glitz and glamour by starring in an up-and-coming Irish singer’s debut music video.

Wanted: Leading lady to ‘dazzle’ in music video

Dublin businessman Keith Cullen is searching for a special woman — aged between 18 and 30 — to star alongside him as the leading lady in the video for new release Losing My Way.

The video will be directed by Thomas Hefferon, whose previous work has been selected for 18 major international film festivals, and who has also had a video nominated for the best Irish music video in the solo artist category in the inaugural Irish music TV awards.

“Thomas is a fresh director and was eager to deliver a video with a difference,” says Keith.

“So we launched the search on Facebook on Wednesday and the response so far has been absolutely great.”

However, the 27-year-old says a typically beautiful woman will not necessarily scoop the role.

“What we are looking for is a girl who is fresh, different — it is not about finding someone who is strikingly beautiful or someone with loads of acting experience, we want a girl who can walk into the interview without necessarily rehearsing, and dazzle us.

“The song is about feeling lost, and the video looks like it is going to be spectacular. It will be set in Dublin in some fantastic locations, we are looking to film in the grounds of the K Club.”

The leading lady will also be treated to styling by stylist Cathy O’Connor, cosmetic treatment up by make-up artist Derrick Carberry and hair by senior art director of Hair, James Coleman.

She will also win an all-expenses-paid weekend trip to New York city.

“The trip is being offered to attract more girls to the casting, but it is also my way of saying thank you,” added Keith.

“I think 2011 will be a big year for music, and I am really excited about finding our leading lady.”

Casting will take place at the Liffey Trust Building Dublin on February 5.
