Failure to safeguard children slammed

THE Government’s performance in safeguarding the lives of children has been deemed a failure, according to a new report published.

The Children’s Rights Alliance’s Annual Report Card on Government performance claims there have been some improvements in some areas, but significant failings in others.

Overall it is expected the Government will receive a D-grade, barely a pass mark, as children’s rights groups put any new government on alert over issues which they believe need to be tackled urgently.
