Brady bunch celebrate Millionaire surprise

IT was a case of better late than never for a group of Lotto players — six days late and €1 million better to be precise.

The eight-member syndicate from Brady’s Quality Foods in Waterford city only discovered on Wednesday evening they had won the New Year’s Eve special millionaire raffle.

Syndicate organiser Joan Brady admitted she forgot all about the ticket she’d bought well in advance of the draw. She was only reminded of it when a local radio station broadcast the search for the mystery Waterford winners who had yet to claim their prize.
