A YOUNG Irishman who broke his back in an horrific crash in the Australian outback has vowed to return to thank the Flying Doctor medics who saved his life.

Eoghan Hennessy, from East Ferry in Cork, said he has tried in vain to contact the doctors, who also saved him from paralysis, during the airlift from the remote accident site to a Sydney hospital last September.

“I have spoken to the farmer I worked for and to the two farmers who helped me on the roadside,” Eoghan said yesterday.
