Record number of children benefit from toy appeal

A RECORD number of needy Kerry children who could have been without toys this Christmas can look forward to a visit from Santa after all.

Around 800 children in the county — up from 500 last year — will benefit from the annual Kingdom Toy Appeal, thanks to the generous support of many people.

A minimum of €30,000 worth of toys has already been distributed.
