Judge ‘frustrated’ by planning delay

A CIRCUIT court judge has expressed his frustration with delays in completing a planning process arising from the operation of an unauthorised waste recycling centre in north Kerry.

Judge Terence O’Sullivan had, last January, adjourned an application by Kerry County Council to imprison Eoghan McEnery, of South West Bins Ltd.

Mr McEnery, who has operated a site near Kilmorna, Listowel, without planning permission for five-and-a-half-years, is looking for more time to relocate his business.
