Man arrested

GARDAÍ investigating the abduction of the wife of a cash-in-transit official in Co Louth last month have arrested a man in his 40s.

The woman was abducted on November 6 in Monasterboice.

Yesterday, as part of an operation by gardaí from Dublin and Louth and the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Emergency Response Unit, searches were made at six houses on the north side of Dublin city and the man was arrested. A handgun was also seized.
