DANCE legend Michael Flatley is planning on raising his little boy in sun-soaked California rather than on his 19th Century Cork estate.

The Lord of the Dance star said he has opted to make Beverly Hills his main home, even though he has residences in Barbados and London, as well as his palatial Castlehyde estate in Fermoy.

He famously spent millions lovingly restoring the 14-bedroom ancestral home of Douglas Hyde but the Irish-American said the teetotal lifestyle preferred by health-conscious Californians suits his new training regime for his comeback to dance.
