Bad weather conditions force adjournment of murder trial
The John McManus murder case, continuing since October 19, was adjourned until Tuesday when the judge, Mr Justice Paul Carney, will begin his address to the jury.
All the evidence has been heard in the case.
Gillian Purcell, 34, of Simon, Anderson’s Quay, Cork, and formerly of Hollyhill, Cork, was found not guilty of murder by direction of the trial judge earlier this week.
John Walsh, aged 45, originally from Ballinlough, Cork, and more recently of Cork Street, Mitchelstown, denies murdering John McManus between October 28 and November 7, 2008.
