45 jobs cut in An Spidéal

A FURTHER 45 people will soon be on the dole after a French-owned company in Galway announced it was cutting its workforce.

Údarás na Gaeltachta said it is disappointed at the loss of 45 jobs at the technology company based in An Spidéal in Connemara.

Dane-Elec Teo, which has been in An Spidéal since 1996, is cutting its workforce from 61 to 16.
