40 jobs at new Cork venue

UP to 40 jobs were created last night as Cork’s newest late night venue opened.

Management at The Bowery on Tuckey Street have also pledged to maintain employment in the local area by using the services of local suppliers and businesses.

A total of 15 of the jobs will be full-time, with 25 on a part-time basis. Applications are still being taken for bar staff to work over the Christmas period. The €400,000 project venue has three rooms, four bars and a panoramic roof terrace overlooking city’s Peace Park.
