Lenihan rejects criticism as deal details published

FINANCE Minister Brian Lenihan has published the documents which outline the terms and conditions attached to the EU-IMF bailout.

He has rejected criticism of the bailout, deploring those who resorted to “personal abuse” that has “become commonplace in our debased public discourse”.

Under the three-year agreement, Ireland will slash public spending and radically reduce the size of the banking sector in return for the aid package.
