FOUR out of five business people surveyed believe that the budget will be passed, but recent events have dented their confidence in the Government.

Budget will be passed, say firms

Less than a third of businesses believe that the Government’s four-year plan will restore competitiveness and increase job growth, while more than half believe that the plan has the potential to damage Ireland’s recovery.

A survey from Ernst & Young also found that half of respondents believe that liquidity remains their number one concern following a review of the four year plan’s details.
