Pensioners face means testing for travel passes

PENSIONERS qualifying for the free travel pass in the future could be means tested under the plan by the Government to claw back billions of euro.

And people over the age of 65 are going to be charged for their passports as well.

The plan states that funding for the free travel and television licence schemes will be frozen at this year’s level of expenditure over the next four years.
