‘Kind, compassionate’ Alicia laid to rest

ONE of her little brothers came forward with a Cork football jersey; another with a Harry Potter book — representing just some of the passions of Alicia Brough, a young woman who loved life.

A victim of last week’s quadruple killings in Newcastle West, Co Limerick, the 20-year-old, who died six days before what would have been her 21st birthday, was yesterday described as a kind and loving person who would be greatly missed.

Grief-stricken family and friends shed heartfelt tears as they bid her a last farewell in the little cruciform St Peter’s Church, Rockchapel, Co Cork, where her funeral Mass was celebrated.
