A HUSBAND with a chronically ill wife and a son studying for the Leaving Certificate has pleaded with a judge to stop the repossession of their family home.

The High Court heard yesterday how the 47-year-old unemployed man was trying to look for a job and have his parents qualify as guarantors on his loan.

Lender ACC Bank told the court the father-of-two had failed to supply details of attempted applications for jobs or make any recent repayments on the €313,000 loan to the bank. Arrears of over €44,000 had mounted since early this year.
