Inquiries after man dies in roof fall

THE Health and Safety Authority and local gardaí have both launched investigations into the death of a man who fell from the roof of a business premises in Kildare yesterday afternoon.

The accident happened at the Tegral plant in Athy at approximately 2pm.

According to sources the man, who is believed to be in his early 50s, had been working on the roof, fixing a section of it.
