New A&E for Tralee hospital

CONSTRUCTION of a new accident and emergency department at Kerry General Hospital, Tralee, is expected to start before the end of the year.

A contractor has been selected by the HSE and a letter has been issued to the successful tender. The contract will be awarded after 14 days have elapsed.

The new department will feature a resuscitation room, additional treatment and observation facilities and special facilities for children.
