Rebirth’ of Bandon marked a year after floods

The “Best of Bandon Showcase Event” is due to be held next week at the Bandon Motor Showroom on the Cork Road.

Organised by Bandon Working Together, the event is aimed at bringing together the best of what the town has to offer and strengthening its reputation as west Cork’s fashion and motor sales capital.

A fashion show will be held on the night and make up artists and hairdressers will also be available at the event to answer any queries from guests. The town’s eateries will also provide food for the night and bands will supply the music.

All the new 2011 Ford, Peugeot and Opel models will be on display as well as some new Saab and Volvo models.

The Bandon Showcase will also have its own version of Topcar’s ‘Stig’ with a mystery Bandon personality driving one of the new 2011 cars. His identity will be revealed at the end of the evening.

Tickets are €25, available from all fashion shops, participating food outlets, as well as Bandon Motors and Kevin O’Leary’s garage.

Proceeds from the November 12 event will be donated to local charities including Bandon Day Care Centre, St Michael’s Home and Bandon Hyperbaric Chamber.
