Woman, 20, dies in hit-and-run

A 20-YEAR-OLD student, struck by a hit-and-run driver as she and her friend left a nightclub, was one of five people killed on the roads this bank holiday weekend.

Kelly Grehan and her friend had just left the club in Gorey, Co Wexford, and were crossing the road at a set of traffic lights when they were struck. The car did not stop and was found burnt out and abandoned a short time later.

Also yesterday, two men in their 20s died when their car hit a wall in Ballymun, Dublin, at about 7am.
