Quinn on the ball for prostate campaign

SOCCER legend Niall Quinn has urged men to visit their GP for regular check-ups for the early detection of prostate cancer.

Helping to raise awareness of the disease, Quinn and wife Gillian launched the What You Don’t Know public awareness campaign for prostate cancer, which highlights the “what you don’t know won’t hurt you” attitude of men to their health.

Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men, after skin cancer, and 1 in 12 Irish men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime.
