Waterford kicks off fashion fest in style

WATERFORD becomes the country’s fashion capital this week with a number of events showcasing some high-octane glamour – and all in a good cause.

Waterford kicks off fashion fest in style

The style-packed second annual Waterford Fashion Week has kicked off and will include two fashion shows being held to demonstrate the wide range of fashion Waterford has to offer.

All proceeds will go to the Waterford Hospice and The Solas cancer-care centre being built on the edge of the city.

Love Fashion at The House of Waterford Crystal will be hosted tomorrow night by one of Ireland’s most stylish ladies, Celia Holman-Lee, at 7.30pm.

The event will showcase the work of world-class designers from renowned boutiques Satina in Tramore, Oslo in George’s Court, Muse on The Quay, Orchid, Fifth Avenue, The Hanger, Cummins and Stone and Tommy Hilfiger in Waterford.

The fashion will be modelled by models from the Celia Holman-Lee Agency. In tandem with the show, a fashion-themed raffle offering a range of glamorous prizes will take place on the evening.

Throughout fashion week many of Waterford’s stores will have special deals for customers.

Glamorous Fashions at the Granville Hotel on Thursday is the second major show of the week and will feature styles from Kelly’s, Shaw’s, Pamela Scott, Tommy Hilfigier, Benetton, The Shoe Centre and Petit Cheri.

Tickets for both events are available at participating outlets.
