THE group that represents former patients of surgeon Michael Shine has expressed fury at the Government’s refusal to publish the result of an investigation into allegations that he abused male patients in his care at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.

“I am waiting 38 years for closure,” Cianán Murray, one of Shine’s alleged victims, said last night.

“I cannot believe the report will not now be published.”
