Fleischmann life and legacy celebrated

THE life and legacy of one of Ireland’s greatest composers is to be celebrated in the classrooms of the city where he lived and worked.

As part of the centenary celebrations for Aloys Fleischmann, one of the most important figures in music in Ireland in the last century, a new education pack, entitled Meet the Professor, has been developed in his honour.

To be distributed to all second-level schools in Cork, it will be of particular relevance to students studying Music and Civic, Social and Political Education (CSPE).
