Motorist injured as family of four flees scene of crash
The two adults and two children were travelling in a red Ford Focus which ploughed into the back of a silver Nissan Micra at the Skehanagh roundabout, a busy junction on the N85 Ennis ring road. Both cars had left the M18 motorway and were travelling towards Ennis when the collision occurred. The two cars were sent spinning out of control after the impact with the Micra coming to a stop 30 metres away facing in the opposite direction.
Eye witnesses said the red car appeared to enter the roundabout too quickly and smashed into the back of the Nissan.
