A 54-YEAR-OLD woman appeared in court yesterday charged with killing a mother more than two years ago.

Lillian Scanlan, aged 48, was found dead on the kitchen floor of her home in the Valley Court area of Athlone on May 9, 2008.

Agnes McCarthy, from the Garden Vale area of Athlone, was remanded on bail charged with manslaughter to appear before Athlone District Court on October 13.
