Blushing bride Dara Dineen, a 33-year-old care attendant, met her 54-year-old groom Conor O’Brien four years ago in Scannell’s bar in Clonakilty.

Conor works as a sales representative with Cork-based food company La Rousse.

Around 30 close family members attended the wedding which was held at the Crawford Gallery in Emmet Place.

After a meal in Isaac’s restaurant in MacCurtain Street, the couple headed back to the pub where they first met for a celebratory party.

Dara’s sister, Mairead, said the couple were not particularly art lovers but liked the Crawford’s ambience very much and that was why they chose it for their wedding.

“They booked it around four months ago and the ceremony was held in the Penrose Room,” she said.

“They like the place and have visited it together regularly since they met a few years ago,” Mairead added.
