‘RIP boys. It was only yesterday wen we were chillin’
Brothers, David, 17, and Kevin Breen, 15, Áine Riordan, 16, and Brian Coffey, 19, died when the car they were travelling in went out of control halfway between Killarney and Barraduff.
The fifth person in the car, Darragh Jones, 16, is in a stable condition at Kerry General Hospital.
Shock and disbelief was plain to see in messages from friends left on the victims’ Facebook pages.

- Alex O’Sullivan: “RIP buddies, can’t believe yer gone. I’ll always remember de good times”.
- Cian Curtin’s posting was particularly poignant: “Rip boys... it was only yesterday wen we were chillin....life goes so quickly lads. ye were truely loved and will be truely missed!! rest in peace and stay outta trouble up there!”
- Another friend of David Breen’s wrote: “RIP lads. shuldn’t have been taken so young, craters. ye’ll be missed. Hope ye’re ok where ye r now.”
