Children find body of addict

TWO children made the grim discovery of a dead heroin addict in a derelict house in Limerick, it emerged yesterday.

The children, a boy aged 14 and a girl aged 10, had wandered into the house at Hartigan’s Villas in Moyross and found the dead man in the sitting room area of the building. They ran out in a distressed state to a neighbouring house and the alarm was raised.

Gardaí and a doctor were called to the scene and foul play was ruled out.
