FISHERY Board officials from Inland Fisheries in are investigating a major fish kill at the Kilcurry River in Co Louth.

Pollution causes fish kill

Initial findings made yesterday revealed pollution of the river had occurred at the weekend north of the border on the Forkhill River which is a tributary of the Kilcurry River.

A spokesman said: “It was feared stocks of brown trout, sea trout and salmon would be wiped out as the pollution moved downstream.”
