Crystal Swing’s showman to bring Lucy Kennedy to grads

CRYSTAL SWING singer Derek Burke is bringing a special someone to his graduation ball today after RTÉ presenter Lucy Kennedy agreed to be his date for the evening.

The family band from Lisgoold, Co Cork, received a huge boost earlier this year when they performed on the widely watched Ellen DeGeneres Show in the US.

The trio – Mary Murray-Burke and her children Dervla and Derek – performed two songs and were interviewed by the host. The appearance followed their rise to prominence when a video of them performing He Drinks Tequila became one of the most watched and discussed items on YouTube.
