Plans for arts centre at Lough Derg get green light

AN arts centre is being planned for the picturesque town of Ballina/Killaloe on the shores of Lough Derg.

Local developers McKeogh Brothers (Ballina) Ltd have been granted permission for a change of use of a building at No 2, Ballina Quay, in Cullenagh, on the Tipperary side of the lake, to establish the new centre.

It will house art and craft exhibitions, workshops and dance and drama events.
