A SPECIAL team of “conference ambassadors” has secured more than €2 million worth of business for Cork city.

The Cork Convention Bureau (CCB) released the figure yesterday after hosting a thank you lunch for them.

The 17-strong team was identified by the CCB’s ambassador programme as key figures who could use their links and influence to bring national or international conferences to Cork.
