Father describes son lost after boat accident as his ‘shining light’

A FATHER whose son is missing, feared drowned, following a boating accident in the US, last night described him as his “shining light”.

Eoin Curran, 30, has been missing since Sunday when he fell from a 23-foot yacht during a sailing lesson with the New York Sailing School.

The Google employee, from Ballsbridge, Co Dublin, fell overboard off the coast of Long Island, New York, during an afternoon storm. He was not wearing a life jacket.
