Cheeky shop corners ad clone market

A CORNER-SHOP owner has come up with a novel way to boost trade — inviting scantily clad models to mimic the controversial Hunky Dory ad outside his store.

Businessman Wade McGinley hired brunette beauties, Danielle Gurney, 23, and Claire Kenny, 21, to play rugby in hot pants outside his shop, McGinley’s in Buncrana, Co Donegal, to help increase the footfall of customers.

The unusual move came only a month after local Christian Solidarity party member Mary Doherty ordered the shop manager to strip his store of the “pornographic” crisp ad poster.
