Today’s funerals

PAUL DOHERTY will be the first of four of the victims to be laid to rest today, when his remains are taken from his home in Ardagh, Ballyliffin, Clonmany, to St Mary’s Church, Clonmany, for a funeral at 10am.

An hour later, Eamonn McDaid will be taken from his home at Ballymagan, Buncrana, to St Mary’s Church, Cockhill.

In the afternoon, Ciarán Sweeney will be laid to rest beside St Mary’s Church, Clonmany, at 1pm just before a funeral Mass begins at St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, at 1.30pm for Damien McLaughlin from Umricam, Buncrana.

On Friday, the last of the eight dead, James McEleney, will be taken from his home in Minaduff, Clonmany to St Mary’s Church for funeral Mass at 11am.
