Brave assault victim returns

A YOUNG student who battled back from the brink of death following a brutal baseball bat attack in the US has returned to Ireland.

Natasha McShane is now in Belfast City Hospital and will undergo an operation later this week. The 23-year-old was flown to Dublin by private airplane and brought to Belfast by ambulance on Friday.

Natasha, from South Armagh, spent months in a coma in Chicago after she was struck on the head. Two people are charged with attempted murder.
