Rain serves up perfect track conditions for race meeting

THE rain came at precisely the right time for Killarney’s July holiday races which got underway at the lakeside track last evening.

Race company chairman John Buckley said the track was “absolutely perfect”, with a sufficient amount of rain having fallen.

“We had a lot of fine weather, but the rain came when we wanted it. Our prayers were answered,” he declared.
