AN Irish citizen has been killed in a plane crash in central Africa.

James Cassley, who was born in Ballymena, Co Antrim, and brought up in Quin, Co Clare, was on the chartered flight from Cameroon to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

There were 11 people on board.
