YOUNG twins Hassan and Hussein Benhaffaf who were separated in complex surgery in London in April are to receive a civic reception at Cork City Hall next week.

The six-month-old boys have been back with their parents Angie and Azzedine Benhaffaf at their home in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork since the end of last month.

The twins, their parents, and sisters Malika and Iman are to receive a civic reception in the Lord Mayor’s chambers in Cork next Wednesday. The twins underwent a 14-hour separation operation at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London on April 7 under Irish-born surgeon, Dr Edward Kiely.
