Arrests over publican death

TWO men arrested in connection with a number of burglaries on rural pubs are being questioned at Tullamore Garda Station about a burglary which resulted in the death of an Offaly publican.

Matt Farrell, 64, was discovered tied to a chair at The Gaelic Bar in Daingean on April 1, 2009.

He suffered head and facial injuries during a burglary at the premises.
