Lenihan dismisses concerns about health

FINANCE Minister Brian Lenihan, who holds one of the toughest portfolios in Government, has dismissed renewed concerns about his battle with cancer.

“I’ve always made it clear that if I didn’t feel well enough, I wouldn’t be doing the job,” he stressed.

“I saw some reference to my working a three-day week recently. I had a seven-day week last week. Certainly I am enjoying my work and giving it my full attention.”
