Eager job hunters look to Dubai

THE pay may not be fantastic, but factor in the sun, a different culture, the perks and a chance to escape the economic downturn.

That’s why more than 100 people applied for 15 bartender and waitressing jobs in Dubai.

The 50 who were shortlisted for interview attended the Imperial Hotel in Cork yesterday where their credentials were checked out by Dave Cattanach, food and beverage manager at the Irish Village in Dubai.
