Union slams HSE threats

IMPACT trade union has told members not to attend meetings with HSE management without union representation after the HSE suggested it would discipline individuals for taking part in legitimate industrial action.

The union said it took the decision following press reports that some workers would be called to individual meetings to be threatened with disciplinary action.

IMPACT national secretary Kevin Callinan said: “Professor Drumm is threatening patients with further cuts, and staff with disciplinary action, in an attempt to divert attention from its failure to deal with a core issue set out in the Croke Park proposals.”
