THE leader of the country’s largest trade union has claimed the Croke Park agreement is being misrepresented to public servants and leading to divisions within the trade union movement.

As it stands, the executives of seven trade unions and one representative body have either recommended rejection or said they could not endorse the deal on public service pay and reform to their members.

Yesterday, the Irish Federation of University Teachers became the latest to recommend rejection to its 1,400 members. Just four unions have backed the deal.
