Army disposes of device

AN Army Bomb Disposal team made safe a viable Improvised Explosive Device (IED) at an address in Whitethorn Crescent, Palmerstown overnight.

The team arrived on the scene at 2.45am in response to a request by the Gardaí.

A viable device was made safe at the scene and removed for further examination. No controlled explosion was carried out.
