Criticism over sunbed laws

HEALTH Minister Mary Harney has yet to bring any proposals on regulating sunbeds before the Government, her officials confirmed yesterday.

Cancer campaigners have lashed out at the minister for failing to introduce “urgently needed” legislation four years after she promised a crackdown.

Department of Health officials are to meet with industry representatives later this month after completing a public consultation which began two years ago.
